Welcome to a new world of limitless potential and endless possibilities. If you landed here, you are already taking the first step toward reaching your full athletic and wellness potential. I’m here to guide you on your journey and ensure you reach your goals in the most effective and enjoyable way possible.
With 20 years of martial arts training, including a 2nd degree black belt in Shotokan karate, a black belt in kickboxing, and a world champion title, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. As a former mental health counselor with 15yrs of experience, I understand the importance of sleep, diet, and exercise in maintaining optimal physical and mental health. I have a degree in psychology from the University of Sherbrooke, and am fluent in both French and English.
In 2020, I became certified as a personal trainer by the American Council on Exercise (A.C.E) and a Sport & Fitness Nutrition Specialist. My goal is to empower you to achieve your maximum potential, whether it be in athletic performance or overall health and wellness. With a non-judgmental, supportive, and positive approach, I will help you to overcome obstacles and reach new heights.
I believe that fitness is more than just exercise, it’s a holistic approach to well-being. That’s why I take the time to get to know you, your goals, and your unique needs. Our journey will start with a thorough health questionnaire and a functional movement screening. From there, I will create a personalized program that is tailored to your needs, taking into account any issues and maximizing your time and effort in the gym.
With my focus on proper form, I use a variety of training methods to keep you motivated and challenged. From bodyweight exercises, resistance bands, dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, Indian clubs, steel maces, heavy bags, and even qigong, nothing is off limits to achieving the body, performance, and overall well-being that you deserve.
Say goodbye to the traditional drill sergeant mentality and hello to a safe, enjoyable, and motivating fitness journey. Join me at Ground Up Fitness and let’s transform your body, mind, and spirit, together. Let’s start from the ground up and reach new heights!”

Power-Based Indoor Cycling
This is not a “ride to the beat” class. This is measurable, intelligent training.
In this power-based indoor cycling class, you’ll train using watts—the most objective way to measure effort on a bike. Instead of guessing how hard you’re working, you’ll ride in clearly defined power zones, each tied to specific physiological adaptations.
You’ll spend time where it matters:
-
Zone 2: aerobic base building, fat metabolism, and endurance
-
Zone 3: sustainable strength and muscular endurance
-
Zone 4: high-output efforts that push your limits and raise your threshold
-
Zone 5: short, controlled bursts of maximal power for performance gains
Each interval is intentional. Cadence, resistance, and duration are coached precisely so the power output matches the training goal, whether you’re seated, climbing, or standing with load. Recovery is programmed—not random—so you leave stronger, not wrecked.
This class is ideal if you:
-
Want real progress, not just sweat
-
Like knowing why you’re doing what you’re doing
-
Appreciate structure, coaching, and accountability
-
Want training that transfers to real-world fitness and performance
You don’t need to be an elite cyclist—but you do need to be willing to work with purpose. You’ll ride at your numbers, not anyone else’s.
Train smarter. Ride with intent. See results you can measure.

Mace training class
Mace training is strength with intelligence.
Using a steel mace—a long, offset tool—you’ll train the body the way it was meant to move: rotational, integrated, and resilient. Unlike traditional lifts that lock you into straight lines, mace training challenges your grip, shoulders, core, hips, and nervous system all at once.
This class focuses on:
-
Rotational strength and anti-rotation control
-
Shoulder health, stability, and mobility
-
Core strength that actually transfers to real life
-
Coordination, timing, and flow
Blending strength, flow, and precision. You’ll learn how to generate power, absorb force, and move smoothly through space—building strength without beating up your joints.
This is not random swinging.
Technique matters. Control matters. Progression matters.
Mace training is challenging, engaging, and surprisingly athletic. It will make you stronger, more mobile, and more confident in your movement—whether you’re an athlete, a lifter, or someone who wants to move better and feel capable in their body.
No experience required. Just show up ready to learn and work with intent.
